GRINNELL JUBILEE AT THE JEWEL

Grinnell was selected as a Day 5 stop for RAGBRAI, bringing a large number of visitors into the town. The city needed a logo and visual identity for merchandise and event branding that felt memorable, energetic, and uniquely tied to Grinnell.

LOGO INSPIRATION

The concept blends local identity with the energy of the event. Inspiration was drawn from the “Jewel” building, a recognizable landmark in Grinnell, combined with bike elements to reflect the cycling event. A disco-inspired visual direction was introduced to capture the celebratory, high-energy atmosphere and help the branding stand out across merchandise.

I developed the logo, color palette, and typography to create a cohesive system that could scale across merch and event materials, helping unify the visual experience for both locals and visitors. The design was created to be bold and highly visible on apparel, ensuring it remains recognizable and impactful in a crowded event environment.
